Faraz Arshad

Faraz Arshad is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at STARZPLAY (www.starzplay.com), the subscription video on demand service that streams to 20 countries across Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan.

With over 14 years of experience in engineering and technical management of systems, network and cloud architectures, Faraz’s played a key role in launching STARZPLAY across the MENA region. Today, Faraz’s leads on transforming and accelerating business results for the company through shaping the technology strategy, budgeting and developing.

His responsibilities include Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Framework Implementation and Governance, leading Cloud Infrastructure Engineering & Architecture, DevOps, Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Video Streaming Delivery Innovations in close collaboration with internal businesses, technology teams and third party vendors as well as establish IT operating models based on the implications of next generation with the evolving service models of technology as well as operational expectations.

Prior to joining STARZPLAY, Faraz was the Network and System Integration Manager at Qtelmedia Communications.

Faraz holds a Bachelors degree in Information Technology from Preston Institute of Management Sciences and Technology.
