Genevieve South

Genevieve South is Director of VOD, responsible for leading the Discovery digital and Discovery+ strategy for CEEMEA. She also oversees the Broadcast VOD editorial for the majority of EMEA.

Genevieve’s broadcasting career has been in linear and non-linear content and scheduling across a variety of genres including Factual and Sports, having previously worked for National Geographic, Sky and ESPN.

Since joining Discovery 7 years ago she has managed linear feeds using analytical expertise to produce impressive performance results and has now fully transitioned to the Digital content arena, overseeing the On Demand content strategies for over 70 platforms and partners (including Amazon, Sky and STARZPLAY), and has a newly expanded remit taking responsibility for the overall CEEMEA digital strategy which includes the rollout of Discovery+.
