Zareen Mirza is Director of Strategy at Renmore Partners based out of Dubai. Her role at Renmore is focused on Digital transformation projects in Africa including working with governments on their Digital Switchover strategy. Zareen also provides commercial and strategic advisory for the end to end OTT platforms developed and deployed by Renmore for its customers.
Prior to her role at Renmore Partners, Zareen worked in Pay TV for Cable operators in Europe including Virgin Media in the UK and Comhem in Sweden. She was Head of Strategy for Pay TV at Virgin Media, where she was central to aggregating Netflix into the Pay TV offering, as part of counter Cord-cutting strategies for fixed line operators. Developing Virgin’s own multiscreen offering and streaming app, tackling multiscreen content rights and she was part of the team that led and launched a more consumer centric user interface, TiVo, for both Virgin Media and Comhem. In both roles Zareen was also responsible for the TV roadmap and P&L subscribers adds, upsell/ downsell and churn. Before her roles in industry, Zareen worked as a Management Consultant for Arthur D.Little in London, aligned with the TIME practice (Telecommunications, Information, Media and Electronics).
